I love to make teacher appreciation gifts. I taught for a few years before I had children. It is hard work!! I have found that the thought really is what counts when you give a teacher gift. At least for me personally, it meant so much to know that a parent was even thinking of me. This year, I tried to start early on my teacher gifts. Of course, I am still finishing up some. But, at least I had a start. Anyways, my main idea I want to talk about is the mug. I made the letters and the apple on my Cricut. I do love my Cricut. But, you could do this idea without one. At Michaels, they sell sheets of adhesive vinyl. I bought mine for 7 for $10.00. Of course, don’t forget your coupon for 40% off when you go to Michaels. I also can use a 10% military discount at my Michaels. For the apple, you could download an apple and trace it onto the adhesive vinyl. Then, you could stick it to the mug! The mug is from the Dollar Tree. So, this gift would only cost a couple of dollars.
So, do you have any frugal teacher gift ideas? Do you try to recognize your children’s teachers in any way? I would love to hear from you!
Happy Crafting!
