Did you know that there are a bunch of apps out there that can give you cash back on your purchases? I am talking about cash back for everyday items like groceries, home goods, gasoline purchases and restaurant meals! Every receipt scanning app is a little bit different. So, today I want to tell you about the ones that I use. Hopefully, you can add them to your arsenal for saving money!

App #1- Ibotta

Ibotta has to be one of my favorite receipt scanning apps. Ibotta pays you back for grocery purchases and also toiletries and other items. You can get the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple Store. One you download the app, you can start looking at the stores and items that you may buy. When you see a store that you have and an item you may want, checkmark the offer. Later, if you purchase the item, it is already saved and ready to go. After you purchase select items, you will need to scan your receipt to show that you purchased the item. Ibotta is a great way to earn cash back on purchases you are already making! App #2- Coin Out

Coin Out is a great app because it gives you a little cash back on EVERY receipt. I cannot think of a receipt that I have scanned and not been able to get cash back on Coin Out. The amount that you get back with scanning is not huge. Sometimes it is $.02 sometimes all the way up to $.14. When I have some receipts, I just line them up and scan each one at a time to accrue cash back. After maybe 6 or 7 it tells you to come back, so I just scan some more the next day. App #3- Swagbucks Answer

Did you know that Swagbucks has a receipt scanning app? It is part of their Answer App. You can find it in the Play Store. First you will need a Swagbucks Account. If you have not started a Swagbucks Account, you can start one here. Then when you download the app, there is a section at the top that you can earn 2 Swagbucks per receipt. App #4- Fetch Rewards

Fetch Rewards is a great app to earn money back from grocery purchases. Every time you get groceries, scan your receipt and you will earn back at least a few cents. Fetch has partners with many name brand companies. So, you can earn from purchasing from a partner brand, as well. It all adds up! They also have a great referral program. Right now when you sign up you will earn 2,000 points which is the equalivent of $2.00. You only need 3,000 points to cash out for a gift card of $3.00. App #5- Shopkick

Have you tried Shopkick yet? Shopkick has many features. One is that when you make qualifying purchases, you can scan your receipt to get points back that transfer into cash. Shopkick has other ways to earn as well. You can walk into a store and get “kicks” just for coming in. Then, you can scan items to get rewards as well. You do not have to bu items to get the rewards.
